PSA- generator owners.

Yesterday we got a lot of snow and it was high enough to cover the air intake & exhaust pathways. My Generac looked more like a skiers mogul than a generator.-

So for you people that live in a snow area be sure your genny is uncovered, if your going to need its power its a thing that should be done!

I found that out a few years ago. My diesel genny is in my covered basement entrance but the exhaust line exits the side wall to the higher ground outside. One year we had an outage and fired up the genny to recharge the battery system and wondered why it sounded odd. The outlet was buried in snow

This year I remembered and cleared it just in case.
