After months of trying different pistols I settled on the Shield 9mm no-safety for CC. Lucky me, a local shop was having a big sale so I scored one $100 less than all the other shops. Due to the sale lots of people were buying and background checks were taking forever. I'll pick it up tomorrow and put 100 rounds through it. Can't wait!! I believe we're going to have a beautiful relationship!

I might find myself in the market for one soon. Rented one yesterday and immediately shot it considerably better than my own pistol. Really liked it.

Just made the switch myself. I've EDC'd a 642 for many years. Lately, I've found the need to have more ammo on tap but never liked carrying double stack guns iwb and the accompanying extra mag or two. The 9mm Shield was the perfect answer in between the 642 and the M&P9c. I love carrying and shooting my Shield 9....even all stock, it's perfect.

I think you've chosen well, congratulations! The Shield is very hard to beat for concealed carry; small enough and thin enough to actually conceal successfully, big enough to shoot well.

Had my 9mm Shield a few months now LOVE it! I carry it more the my Ruger SR9E ! FYI the mags are a bear to load, Look into the UPULA loader and for a better grip look into the Talon of other brand grip tape! Just my 2 cents

Welcome to the club. I love mine but have opted to trade it in for one with a safety.

Don't forget to field strip, clean, & lube that pistol first :)

Now pull the trigger on that shield a couple of 100 more times, you and it may become good friends although it took me a long time with mine now we are very good friends along with the 40c

Great carry gun. Carried a M&P 9 compact for years. Switched to a shield and love it. Never jambs no matter what ammo I've tried. Even weak handed with light handloads. No stove-pipes!
