Purchase Extractor

anyone know if the extractor can be purchased? I am thinking about trying my hand at replacing the barrel with a diff barrel. possibly machine a GM SS blank to fit. just need to get an ejector before I commit to the project

I think it's the ejector that you want. As far as I know, no one has been able to purchase one yet. S&W seems to think it's something they need to install at the factory.
 
you are correct. ejector it is. been searching and searching and all I was able to find was extractor......I have extrector on the brain.

need a source for ejectors.

The only source is S&W, and they don't sell them as spare parts, only as a replacement and then they must be factory installed.

This is my only complaint about Smith. I'm not a prepper kind of guy, but I wouldn't mind spare parts just in case shtf... It's that kind of attitude that would make me use a regular AR as a primary carbine or even a 10/22 if that was the case.

Plus not everyone wants to wait 2-3 weeks turn around... they do have good customer service but some of us would prefer putting parts in ourselves.. It's not like it's difficult lol..

I honestly do love my 15-22 it's been very reliable compared to the Ruger I had.
