Purchased 3 boxes of 9mm at $19.50 per 50

OP again

I don't shoot all that much, so for me the difference between $10 and $20 a box is not a big deal. If I see $15/box I will likely buy a case and it will last me for years.
I have an ample supply, but right before Black Friday I came across the Norma Whitebox 9mm for that price ($15), so I bought a case ($300). Not proud, but best price on brass 9mm I've seen in awhile now.

Pre-COVID prices on EVERYTHING are gone, if not forever, at least for the foreseeable future. Been to the grocery store lately?
I've noted that, and I've been sniping away at the local Winn Dixie... every so often they are selling bargain (probably Mexican) steaks under the Rancher's Home brand. $5.99 for ribeyes, T-bones, NY strips etc.
I fully understand they aren't Prime or Choice, but I'm stocking my freezer with what I can for now. Properly marinated and seasoned, they've been pretty decent.

Still hardly any handgun ammo available in the Northeast of PA from what I see. A few weeks ago there was a gun store with a few skids of Norma ammo but the prices were extremely high. Mostly .223 and 7.62x39mm ammo with a few .243 boxes too. Only handgun ammo was 9mm and they has bricks of Norma .22lr ammo but at $90/brick.

At $5.99 for ribeye, I'd be looking out for a horse shoe when I opened the package! Where I live, a good ribeye is going for $17.50 a pound!

Watch BIG Y- they still occasionally have sales at that or 6.99. (choice) I get 10 or 12 pounds when they do, and those last me a year. I vacuum seal them.

They USED to do PRIME sometimes at 6.99 before all this!

BIG Y is high, but sometimes the sales are good. I only go for the sale items, Ribeyes are one of them. I don't know where the other guy is buying- didn't check his location to see if they have Big Y, but we do. Im in same area as you.

By me they go as high as $19.95/lb. Needless to say we font eat many steaks lately.

Last week the local Price Chopper actually had really nice T Bone steaks for only $7.99/lb. We bought 8 of them lol. (just 2 of us in the house)

Natchez has Blazer aluminum for $16 and brass for $17.50. I have fired many thousands of the aluminum and it works fine.

Yeah, but do they have 6.99 Ribeyes? :)

These days I seem to like eating more than shooting....

I will guarantee that "pre COVID" prices are gone forever! Materials, transportation, labor, etc etc have all increased drastically.

Not only that, but more importantly, the market realized they can sell that $10 box for $20, and the public will happily pay it. The new best price will be $15 a box of 50.

I just want reloading components back. I know the $40 brick of primers is a thing of the past. I'm hoping the new price will be less than $60.

I reload but when I go to an indoor range where you can't pick up our brass I use aluminum case ammo. I agree, it shoots fine.

I just paid $14.99 per box of 50 9mm 124gr when Norma had their sale last week. Free shipping if you spent $150. I bought 11 boxes to take advantage of the free shipping. According to my tracking # they should arrive today.
