I would like a 686, standard 6-shot with the four position foresight with a 12 & 1/4 inch barrel and a rod extending from the botton of the grip frame to make the whole thing 24 & 1/2 inches long. Unfortunately the vagaries of our gun laws here (UK) mean this is the nearest we get to a pistol. (Taurus make one, but it's... well...a Taurus).

Can you provide a picture of this thing? I am having a seriously difficult time imaginging this monster lol.

Here you go

Here is a picture of a LBR (Long Barreled Revolver) specially made to comply with the UK gun laws.
I "borrowed" this from rimfiremagic.
Now, if only it was a 686 and I had the money...

How are you suppose to shoot the gun with that goofy rod hanging off the grip??? Doesn't it hit your chest when you're shooting?

Brother you just need to leave the UK and come stateside like my family did in 1767 lol.

Oh, how I wish.

Thanks for the invite, I'd love to.
My plan was to move to Spain to live but our beloved leader (Mr Brown) has effectively devalued the pound so I cannot afford to leave now.
If I won half a million quid today, I'd be on the next plane tomorrow. This country is going to heck in a hand-cart.

The extension bar goes under your forearm. They are actually easier to shoot than they look. I suspect they would be great for long distance handgun hunting but for 25 metre target shooting they are less than adequate.
Also one of the peculiarities of our law means that you cannot shoot one until you own it. So you cannot try one to see if it would suit you. You have to apply for the license, get it granted (maybe) buy one and THEN try it.
