I traded for this and got it from a Fanboy who was going off to the Army back when I was up at Quantico with the wife. He said that he used it for around 20 minutes, and I believed him since he got bored when it wasn't as cool as the ones in video games.
This is one of the commercial Night Force scopes, sold by ITT's law enforcement division. It was actually made by and shipped from ITT. These use the same batches of tubes as the military ones, it's just random luck of the draw which goes into a mil. contract unit and which goes into one of these.
I have the head mount, but I never bought a weapon's mount.
I've used this for maybe 40 minutes, probably less, to familiarize myself with it. The tubes in these last 10,000 hours plus, so this one has 9,999 hours or so of life left in it.
This is one of the later models, uses only a single AA battery. Pop a lithium cell in and you get maybe 60 hours. Off a Duracell, probably 40 plus.
I can't afford the grand to lay out for a PEQ-2 or similar IR/visible laser system to weaponize this. Still works for land navigation or what not.
New ones are 3500 to 3750 plus. Dubious used and/or surplus ones still fetch 2600 to 2700 on ebay. I'm asking 2700 shipped for this one since is it first quality ITT and barely used.
This one has the commercial serial number prefix so you know that it isn't stolen Army property. No, I no longer have the original paperwork and literature.
This is Gen III night vision technology so can not be exported nor transferred to any non US citizen. Otherwise it is perfectly legal to own, use, play with.
