Quad Rail for M&P15 OR

Resting a non-free float forearm on a sandbag and putting too much weight forward will kill your accuracy, regardless of who makes the hardware.

Hence the reason to free float in the first place. :)

Does anyone have experience with either of these? I know they are not $200.00 Quad's but I think they would be find for starts....Thanks for your help

I like both but for the price the Omega Tactical is really hard to beat and it doesnt add hardly any weight at all. but neither does the UTG. They are both good choices.

Thanks for your help guy's!! Money isn't an issue but this gun is just a play toy @ the range for me so no need to spend $200.00.....

Hi all
I'm new to this ar stuff and I don't want to hijack this discussion but it seems to fit. After reading about the different accessories I don't know how I know it will work and fit on my m&p. Is there something I'm missing or is the accessories universal?

The accessories have a universal quality to them, although specific rifles can take specific parts but your standard 16" barrel sporting carbine tends to take standard parts, just about (but not all) parts will fit, some may require some modification (i.e. removal of the fixed front sight, replacement of the gas block) but normally not! Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Aboard :o

Grover answered it. AND if in doubt just ask. There are no stupid questions on here. It's one of the friendliest forums you can find for any help you need on your Modern Sporting Rifle.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. All the pics help too, gives me ideas and an understanding of how it all comes together.
Went and did some target shooting with it for the first time...man this is one nice rifle. I see why everyone is so into it. It's like a Harley, you just keep adding to make it your own.

I finally got around to mounting it. It went on fairly easy but I did have to slightly open up 2 holes so the screws would go in. Since I took the pics I also added a VFG but haven't got pics yet because I might mod it a little. It looks darker than the rifle in the pics because of the flash but in actual light it matches pretty good.

I just got an Omega Tactical quad rail and it seems very well made and it was cheap. I don't understand the prices on a lot of the non free floating handguards. They are basically identical and prices range from the Omega and another one for about $25, all the way up to past crazy expensive. I went cheap.

I have bought along with other forum members the Omega Tactical, yeah the price is lower but the quality is not. Plus the do stand behind their product. One of our members ordered 2, they came in and were slightly out of round, he contacted them and they refunded his money and sent him 2 replacements. Thats customer service!! :D
