Quality Control Department

My newest S&W revolver is a four inch 617 with IL that was bought used for $550 two years ago because I wasn't paying $1000 on GB for one without the lock. I buy used, save money, save quality problems, and don't expect perfection.

My two new S&W semi-autos were a M41 in 1982 and in 2005 a Match Target stainless 1911 in 45 ACP. I was very satisfied with both and have had no problems after thousands (M41) or hundreds (1911) of rounds fired.

Two new S&Ws in as many years, zero function problems; not fond of current "in spec" measurements for barrel-cylinder gap, but when the threshold is inevitably crossed, S&W will reset under warranty.

The OP just reeks of being high maintenance. I'm sure he would find fault with a new Korth.

after nearly 40 years in the quality field, the ultimate improvements in quality product have been associated with an on going educational format. This is what is lacking with the newer employees that require the basics much less specialized training. Educational programs must refocus on what will best provide a standard of living and skill sets that are of value. This was what we had in the past like 30 years ago.
