How much per hour? Yes, I've googled and couldn't find it...

It's just that I happened to Google Beretta SO series and they gifted one to George W Bush with over 500 hours engraving...

Just like any form of artwork, depends on the skill and demand of the artist. It can vary from somewhere around $50 to hundreds per hour. It isn't auto repair, there isn't a flat-rate book!
