Question about NRA Board of Directors ballots

This is the first year I took to intently reading all of the bios and spent a fair bit of time on each. Some very interesting folks out there. I figure that the existing board members who are running again want to re-up for another term, so I voted for most of them. Filled in the balance on no specific criteria, just who seemed right for the board.

I got mine in the AR Magazine, also, but I can't get past the weight of those guns (in real life) that Josey flipped around to blast the guy in the trading post. I think it said they're over 4# apiece. Pretty interesting article.

Ballot received in my "American Hunter" mag.

I did more research this time around before I voted...read the write-ups from the NRA and looked up most of the candidates on the internet to get as much background info as possible. I only voted for 12 candidates which included the ones NOT endorsed by the board of directors.

My feeling is that just as our federal government needs to "right-the-ship" so does the leadership of the NRA......& to quote Forest Gump, "that's all I've got to say about that". Don

The Walkers that Clint was twirling were made of rubber, according to the author of the article.

I have been fooling around with cap and ball revolvers since the early '70s, only large one I kept is a last generation 1st model Dragoon, I much prefer shooting a modified Ruger Old Army with a Douglas barrel. I am not sure but 4lbs may be unloaded weight, throw in 6 .457 balls and they are certainly a handful. The weight is significant enough that one of my friends that regularly competes with a modified Ruger Old Army only loads one cylinder at a time while competing with single shot pistols.

A BIG thank you. I was looking for this since I just got my ballot and wanted to be sure I did the right thing. No write in for me this time as this is not the time to be screwing around! Will be stepping down in a few years which should free me up to get put on the official ballot. Will keep y'all posted

Welcome. Keep us posted. :)
