I found a website that offers 25-20 new Winchester brass at 50 cases for 21.00, but you have to order $100 worth plus $20 freight plus tax. Has anyone here had experience with: ReloadingBrassUSA.com. This caliber, if you can find it is $1.50 or more per brass case. They have no address on their website. If you order it they will let you know when and where to pay. Sounds a bit fishy, but that's me. Your thoughts, have you done business with them?

I haven't checked availability, but 218 BEE can be formed into 25-20 Win.

Or .32-20, but likely any of these cases will be hard to find. I'd stay with established company sites like Powder Valley, etc. and avoid potential crooks. Reputable businesses may not have what you're looking for today, but they might have it tomorrow.

No experience with them but I agree, the dead giveaway is someone who won’t accept a credit card. If they’re that type, I’d say forget it. No physical address and phone number is another bad sign, IMO.

The .25-20 is among the oddball or less popular cases like the .32-40, .38-55, .250 Savage, .300 Savage, etc. Winchester (and probably others) only do special runs of such brass once every few years as best I can tell. I've dealt with this for a long time. When you find what you're looking for, buy enough to last at least five years.

Also, check with Starline. I don't know whether they make .25-20 or not, but if they do, you'll have the shortest wait period with them.

They do not make 25-20 or .218 Bee , we have been begging them for years to make one or both. Their response is that both can be made from their 32-20 brass. The last few years even that has been rare as hen's teeth. I'd avoid the above mentioned site for all of the reasons already mentioned. You could, last time I looked , order 25-20 brass from Optics planet. They don't have any but they will let you order it anyway.

My theory on this is these scam sites are driven by antigunners looking to intercept your hard earned money.
I'm probably right, given the raw volume of gun related scam sites.

For the love of all that is good and holy left in this world, learn how to use online domain tools to ferret out scam sites.

If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I ordered 17 Fireball brass from a company I found on line. They took the credit card but I never did get the brass.
I load for those odd ball's 25-20, 38-55, 250 Savage, 300 Savage so the advice of getting enough is good. I just bought 100 new pieces of Hornady brass for the 250 Savage at $111 shipped. Bide your time you'll find what your looking for from a reputable source.

oddball brass

I find more oddball brass at gunshows, Lately I picked up some 38-55 Winchester, 30-40 krag, 32 Remington, 35 Remington, 32-40 Winchester and others. At the shows around here there are vendors that sell just brass and they usually have small lots of unusual brass. I always look in junk boxes and the small Mom and Pop tables. At one small show (60 tables) I picked up 2 boxes of 38-55 bullets, 50, 38-55 Winchester brass and reloading dies. A gentleman was moving all the reloading equipment that belonged to a uncle that had passed.

That's a scammer trying to get your cash. Don't fall for it. What you seek is expensive and nearly impossible to find at any price.

After reading this I'm going to keep an eye out for the "oddball" cases on the discount tables of some of the shops I go to. I will buy them and offer them here on the forum for the same exact price I pay just to help out my brother and sister reloaders. I will even pay the shipping as a bonus...

I saw 38-55 brass at a show a while ago. I didn't need it st the time. That show comes around again the end of the month. I'll keep an eye out myself.

Consensus: Leave "AS IS"

I agree, the old Winchester is an artifact, a tiny piece of history and the basis of my gun collecting. A simple coat of Renwax will preserve the wood, which seems to be a bit fragile. I will take it to the range this week and see if she shoots as good as I think she will. I will post a range report. I have some new gas sealed cast bullets that are pushing me to try them out.

38-55 is the 30-30 blown straight wall. It should be easy to make.

Yes indeed!
The whole Winchester model 94 family of cartridges: 32-40, 32 Special, 30-30, 38-55 and 25-35 share the same parent case. Plus a few wildcats like the old 35/30-30 and 219 Wasp.
Making 32-40 and 38-55 from plentiful and easily found 30-30 cases will result in slightly shorter but still usable brass.
