"Curio and Relic" - it's a type of limited federal firearm license for collectors. "C&R" refers to guns these licensees can purchase without another dealer's intervention.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Curio & Relic. It doesn't have to be old. Certain commemoratives, etc. are classified as C&R.

Generally 50 years old qualifies a gun to be c&r eligible. Most of the good old S&Ws are or soon will be. :)
