Well Mas and many other gun writers love to throw around big departments' names particularly LAPD and NYPD. Sometimes with a "little" literary license. I read things in gun magazines all the time, that simply are not true. No big deal. Usually it is done to make good reading. Cops do some of the same thing, Ha. If they own a type and model of gun that one has to be the most popular. I am sure lots of police probably carry the 457. On our dept, officers' decision were influenced a lot, by our manipulations and the fact that SIS Detectives had been carrying 4516s for some time before 45 caliber was approved for other officers.
