question on 625-3

According to the SCSW the SB was deleted in the dash 5 revision so could be either RB or SB depending on the model .

Ahh , Ahem,

All 625s beginning with the -2 iteration regardless of barrel length
were (Are) round butt frames.

Hard to realize that even as early as 1988 S & W manufactured a
complete line of revolvers with exclusively round butts.

But, remember, all the early 625s were shipped with Pachmayr
gripper grips which are essentially round conversion grips.

It's only later now that we collectors feel that the only properly
shod round butt N frame is wearing combat stocks.

Good Luck

Allen Frame

Allen, thank you very much. My anxiety got the better of me. I bought a really nice set of Ahrends grips but they're for a square butt ahahaha. The one coming to me has the Gripper on it but I prefer wood grips, I neglected to confirm with the seller that the gun was round or square-doesn't matter I still very much want it.

So now I'll put the Ahrends up and look for a conversion grip.
