Question on a lock

Around 2001/2002 I bought a used 629 classic with the 6.5 inch full lug barrel ( used gun ). I didn't have it long before I traded it towards something else.I could have sworn it had a trigger lock into the hammer,which used a Allen key to turn.Was this a factory lock,perhaps an early one or after market?

No cant be the last Taurus revolver I handled was in the late 80's

I never seen a ILS that didn't take the same key you commonly see. To me it seems like a handcuff key more than anything.

Maybe you got a prototype that slipped out of the factory. 2001/2002 would be the right time frame for an early ILS.

Taurus revolver locks are located in the hammer, and use an allen wrench to operate.

I've owned a couple of them.
