Question on a Model 2 1/2" 66 Sights

I was looking at a S&W Model 66 with what I think are unusual sights. The rear sight is black with a ribbed portion running forward up to the end of the frame. It is adjustable with white outline. The front sight was stainless with a black insert dovetailed into the rear of the sight. The insert had a white circle with a vertical white line. I don't see many model 66 snubs for comparison but I think that this sight setup was unusual.

sounds like a custom front sight to me. i bet it didnt come from the factory that way.

must have been changed, both of mine have red ramp front sights

Thanks. That was my guess. I wish I had taken a picture. It was unique.
