I just purchased a new/like new Alien Gear IWB holster from eBay for my Browning Hi Power. I use a Kore ratchet belt. Stiff, sturdy, supports the weight. The metal clips fit my belt very tightly and it takes more work than it should to get them clipped over the belt. I thought about switching to J hooks which, as I understand it, go over the pants and the J hooks hook underneath the belt. This should provide much easier on/off and allow for the holster to slide and be repositioned as needed. If I go this route, will I loose a lot of the support because the hooks and weight are resting on my jeans instead of the belt? Please advise. Thanks!
