Question on Mod. 27 6"

I recently saw a S&W Mod. 27 6", and have a question on the features of this gun. It had a case hardened target hammer, and a wide target trigger, but the trigger was nickled or silver plated. Would the nickled trigger have been a factory option?

No, somebody outside the Factory changed the trigger out.
