If I am viewing a specific forum and select a topic, how do I return to the forum list where I left off.

Also related to a search if I want to return to the search list without having to redo the search.

If the 'back' button isn't working for you, you may be able to right-click on it to see the last few pages you've visited. Click the one you're trying to get back to.

Don't click on a topic or search result to change to that page. Instead, right-click on the topic or search result and select "Open Link In New Tab". Your original forum list or search results will still be available in the original tab window. You can switch back and forth between tab windows as many times as you want to. You can copy and paste between tab windows.

This works as does LedFowl's suggestion. For some reason the back arrow has no effect. Just switched to Win8 and I am sure this is operator error. Appreciate the help.

I think that sometimes the advertisements loaded on a forum page end up being considered as the last page you visited. When you right-click on the arrow/backbutton, you may see them listed as 'doubleclick' something or other. When you hit the back button, it takes you nowhere for that reason.

at the bottom of the page on the right hand side is the Forum Jump which allows you to select your preference and takes you directly there.
