Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but I have several bricks of primers that are surplus. I sold a few on a local forum where no shipping was involved. Anyway, I have apparently flooded the local market. What is involved in shipping. Is an FFL required?

Legal to ship, no ffl, you have to have a box that has that black and white diamond on it, and you declare it. you can print the proper label out online. if your in Birmingham I'm in Auburn what kind of primers and how much,

I believe it's a bit more complicated than just putting the black and white diamond on it. Primers aren't treated like loaded ammo or even primed cases. You need a Hazmat license along with some other hoops to jump through. I'd call the UPS Hazardous Materials Support Center at 1-800-554-9964 to get the actual facts rather than rely on me or anyone else on a forum.

Further reinforces my belief that these need to be a local sale.

There is no hazmat shipping "license" - but shippers (UPS & FedEx) require you to be certified to become an authorized hazmat shipper. This involves having a commercial shipping account and going through their prescribed training to get certified to ship hazardous materials in their systems. They also charge an additional hazmat fee for each hazmat package.
USPS doesn't allow shipping hazmats through the postal system.

Thanks, guys. As stated earlier, I suspect this is going to be a local transaction. Otherwise, they’ll just have to put them in my casket.
