Question on redfield scope base

I have the redfield 52001 JRPS SWP-SW pistol base for smith &Wesson K,L&N frame and try to put it on my 25-13 and it does not fit contacted the dealer I received it from and received “ Please make sure you follow the installation instructions carefully. I sold more than 10 boxes of these - no issues with fit.” and no matter on what way I try it the holes don’t line up

Unless the base was made for the older Smiths that were not pre-drilled and tapped where a gunsmith would have to install. Have an old Leupold base that is like that , will not fit the factory pre-drilled frame.

Yeah that's the reason. I had my 27-3 drilled and tapped and bought a base made for the factory drill/tap frame so the hole pattern would match the current production mounts out there just in case I wanted to go with a different sight down the road.

Looking on ebay there is a 510001 for K & N frame and the base does not look like the one you show. Could the wrong base be in the box?
Note, I know little about scopes and rings.

The hole spacing looks wrong on the base as compared to your revolver. Also that box the base came in looks like an older Redfield box. Could this possibly be a leftover from before factory drill and tapped frames when owners had to have the frame drilled? Just making a SWAG there. hard to say without it all in hand.
