I don't yet have a CPL so I don't have extensive experience with the holster but wearing it around the house, I've found the shape fits nicely in a front jeans pocket. It's a bit bulkier than it looks, but not too bulky. Again, I think the shape is the key to this design- it nearly perfectly matches the cut of a jeans pocket if you look at one inside-out. The holster stays put with the help of the grippy band of softer web-like material wrapped around the holster, doesn't print the shape of a gun, is lightweight and fairly flexible and the draw is nice.
Regarding the draw, I assume it's due to the liner material, but when you insert the gun in the holster, it reaches the point where it bottoms out and seems to "grab" the gun and hold it firmly in place. A slight tug fully releases the gun and the same material that a moment ago was grabbing the gun now feels slick as snot making for a fast trouble-free draw. From what I've read, folks who've used these for awhile say they break-in with use and this works even better over time. It's hard to describe but it's almost as if there's an invisible lock that keeps the gun in place but when tugged, it breaks free and suddenly the gun is surrounded by nothing but air, a really smooth draw, totally unlike sometimes sticky leather, bulky soft nylon weave or a stiff material like Kydex.
I don't know what else to say. A lot of old cops seem to like them and that was good enough reason for me to check them out. Robert Mika's a good guy to deal with, too- good communication and all that. For the price, give it a try. You can always resell it for most, if not all, of your money back were you to not like it.
