I saw a very nice S&W Model 625-4 Model of 1989 for sale today for $450. I am seriously thinking of buying it. Can 45 Auto-rim ammo be shot in it, or must only 45 acp be used utilizing the moon clips? Thanks for any replies.

i love MY 625'S (625-6 with 5" barrel and 625-8 with 4" barrel). They are my most shot revolvers.

You will LOVE it. I mostly use Auto Rim cases now. However, if you buy some RIMZ clips, you can use .45 ACP's without tools:

Be sure to order the correct size as there are TWO different sizes.

mr walker. the more i read and research on these guns, the more i see where they are some of the most popular guns smith made.
i will have a couple more 3 inch and 5 inch guns for sale soon.
they are really popular. like joni said, if its in any kind of good condition, you cant go wrong at that price

I have three 625-4s, all with different barrel configurations. I am quite happy with all three of them. You should buy it immediately or you will have regrets. They are increasingly difficult to find.

Now you have it you need to immediately get to the range and shoot, shoot, shoot it!

These are VERY definitely SHOOTERS! Easy to load for and are "user friendly".
