I have a sweet-shooting Model 17 .22 that I'm trying to find out some things about. I hope you good folks can help me.

First, when I open the crane I see "Model 17" but no number --(like Model 17-2, etc.) except the serial. So I'm wondering precisely what I have here?

The serial is K416xxx. What would be the approximate year of manufacture for this pistol?

I have looked for value information on the auction sites but I'm a little unsure because I don't know the precise model of the Model 17 I have. Can someone give me a ballpark number based on the information I'm providing?

Other info:

The barrel measures just under 6" from muzzle to the end of the forcing cone. The barrel is pinned.

The rims are recessed on the chambers.

Wide checkered hammer. Narrow grooved trigger.

Sideplate attaches with three screws.

If you need more info, let me know. Thanks again for any help you can provide.
