Questions about the current 10mm trend on gunbroker

They are still the finest ever made. The BrenTen *could* have been but suffered bad metal. The Delta Elite is excellent but is not for everyone and not as strong. The Sig Sauer is also fine but to me has a bit of a high bore-axis. Glocks are fine weapons but also aren't for everyone. The 10XX series has endured because they handle the round very well and are built to last.

From what I'm hearing the 10 is making a small come back amongst the new shooters who like the other posted stated wanted a magnum class round in a standard size piece.
Will Smith ever build another 10xx? Doubt it theyre too into the M&P right now.
But I've noticed a lot of 1911 makers are building more 10mms of late!

Sig just came out with 4 new models of the 10 this year. They are pricey at around $1400 but are very sharp looking guns. Sig is also making 10mm ammo, also a little pricey per box. Hopefully, the 10 is making a comeback and ammo prices will drop some.

Miami Vice nostalgia?

Seriously....Just snagged a 1006 last Sunday. Should be here Monday the 13th. Can hardly wait. Been looking for a nice 1006 for a few years now. Always been a 3rd Gen fan, but never had any of the 10 series models.

Also when loaded up to it's original specs it IS a heck of a round.

Now to find a couple of spare magazines. Just missed four on the for sale side...someone beat me to them. Magazines MAY be an issue?

Yes the current 10mm interest has is very strong alive and well. I have been working hard to document some of the commercial ammo to preserve the history. Ammo Like SwampFox, Underwood, Buffalo Bore and Double Tap along with others.

People have come to appreciate the ballistic power and energy for the 10mm cartridge for what it brings to the task at hand!

Therefore it is only natural for people to gobble up these S&W 3rd gens to include the "Built Like A Tank" 1006.

I have enjoyed my 1006 new in the box since March 1st 1990. I collected the various models and they are very robust and hard working firearms... :)

Long live this perfect 10mm cartridge and the S&W 10xx series pistols that have handled it so well.

Now if only S&W would make an M&P chambered in 10mm to add to the 10mm lineup!
