Is it easy to remove the QD Swivel that is built into the frame? I am trying to debate between the MOE (811034) vs. regular threaded barrel version (811033). I want the accessories on the MOE - but also would like to ocassionally slap on the Slide Fire stock between my AR and this. To do that, I would have to remove the QD Swivel point that is put on the MOE 811034 version.

Was curious to whomever has one - can I simply remove the swivel if needed easily?

Thanks,
Mike

The swivel pops right off. Not sure about the actual sockets on either side that the swivel attaches to.

Yes, the QD can just be pulled out. The mount can be removed if you unscrew it with a proper sized allen wrench. There are 2 "cups" and a bolt and that is it. One of the cups has threads that the bolt engages. Mine actually fell out and I had to get a replacement from Smith. I just installed it with some Blue LocTite on the bolt threads to keep it from happening again.

My QD also fell off the last time I was at the range. I was lucky that I was able to find both cups and the screw. All of you MOE owners might want to check the tightness of the screw periodically. I will be headed to the hardware store for some Loktite before my next trip to the range.
