I have a brand new M&P 15 chambered in .300 Blackout.

Here is what I have.

Product: Model M&P15 - 300 Whisper®

I gave the gun a quick break down already, but didn't do anything to it.

Now my question is should I do anything to it besides giving it a quick clean/lubing before firing it? Or do I just head to the range and give it a go.

Here's the complimentary pic the day I brought it home. 1 Tango Down 30 round mag and 2 30 round PMAG's.

I have since added a front Magpul MBUS sight with a rear on order.

It wouldn't be a new owner pic without the obligitory "toes in the shot".

Nice weapon. Clean it and shoot it.

FYI...
MAGPUL flip up front sight + hot gas block = melted polymer

I was just about to say that^^^^^
Looks nice. Enjoy it and stay safe.

congrats and welcome to the club :)

Clean her first before you shoot to remove the rust inhibitors the factory has on her which can cause sticking.

Then have fun lots and lots of fun :D

Very nice. Might need to look into one of those once I have my current one figured out. This stuff is like crack. I'm planning for a second and haven't even fired my first yet....

Yep welcome to the club....the thing I did after customizing and recustomizing my Sport was to build one out of the left over parts. LOL Someday I am going to get a 6x45 barrel for one so I can make a legal deer gun, or get a 300. they are not hard to build.:D

Gotta give him credit, at least his toe nails are clean.....

Good looking rifle too.

I bought a rail adapter to try on the hand guard for the front sight, so no gas block mounting.

Any recommendations for optics? Rifle will be used at the range and for hunting.
