She is unmarked, bluing is 100 % and flawless, the wood.....beautiful !!!

We got to the range about 20 minutes before we were allowed to shoot (we signed in, used the latrine, unpack the truck. Then we could open fire at 1000hrs), so we could pick a good spot, and set up a few tables.
My father got to fire the first shot;
The first 3-4 mags were flawless. But after that, I was having regular FTE's (1 to 3 every mag). I looked at the round in the chamber and noticed it had been struck, since I could see a small rectangular indent on the rim of the cartridge. After I let the round sit in the chamber a minute...in case of a late cook-off, I needed to use the tip of a knife, and I carefully coaxed the round out. That told me it was a tight fit, probably why the extractor couldn't "pull" the round out right away. So I remedied that by placing a drop of oil just at the entrance of the barrel where the cartridge gets fed into, and that pretty much solved that. No biggie, it was to be expected right?...Afterall, it hasn't been fired....EVER, except for the test rounds at the factory back in 1988, almost 30 years ago. So this is her break-in period...anyone know what the average round count is considered for this ?
Anyway, we had a blast, literally, and ended up firing off about 250 rounds yesterday. The gun is a darn tack driving, dead accurate beauty. Heck, we didn't even have to zero the sights....not even so much as a click up/down or L to R ...it was take it outta my gun case, slap in a mag, and start hitting "bulls-eyes" LOOOL. We set up at the 15 yard line (45 feet), and it was hitting right where I was putting the sights man ...RIGHT OUTTA THE DARN BOX
!!!! See for yourself; fyi, the diamond shaped square only measures about 3 1-2" at each end...so I think I held my own here dontcha think ?
Excuse the poor aiming since I read somewhere that if you're not hitting inside a dime at 10 yards...it's not the gun...it's the shooter...aka, my dad and I. I haven't been out in a while, but now that I have this beautiful piece of a firearm work of art OF a handgun, my father and I fully intend to fix that in the coming months.

- Eley Contact Subsonic Semi-Auto (bullet weight unknown (not on box)
I have to say, the trigger on this baby is the nicest, smoothest, cleanest trigger I've ever had the pleasure of firing. It's just unbelievable is all I can say fellas.
We finished out the day by firing off about 50 rounds from my Sig P226 Elite Dark 9, then called it a day. But it suffices to say that Friday was the best day that my father and I ever spent together. And if it weren't for him going 1/2's on the cost for this beauty, well, I probably would have had to take a pass on this work of art...and regretted it till the day I die. I mean there are no scratches, pitting, blemishes, anywhere on the gun. Look at the grips....beautifully finished cocobolo hand polished grips. It only took 1 mag through that gun to realize that you can insert the mag all the way in simply by lightly pushing up with your index finger....it's just that smooth. Still gonna have to get used to "black on black sights" though.
I am truly blessed gentlemen, to have one of the finest competition 22 cal firearms you can get, having my father at my side (I can honestly say I felt closer to my father by the end of the day), and a beautiful sunny day @ 22 degrees celcius....doesn't get any better than that....it jus doesn't...
