Ya gotta love those 27s. Mine slaps my hand and it seems too big for me but I don't care. I'm not switching to anything else, except for my 1911 from time to time.

Well if you ever need to shed some of those, I'm here. It's like a desert for 27s where I am.

If you're looking for something for a good price you won't find it. All the good stuff I find is stuff I'm not looking for. If you're looking for it and find it you're gonna pay too much. I've been rained on by all of them at one time or another. I especially remember the hurricane of J frames Leland and I went through several years ago. I love the older 27's and pick them up when they are reasonable. They just don't make stuff like this anymore. You found a beautiful revolver.

First off - I am going to have to keep a sharper eye on the Classifieds here .

Second - it never fails that if and when I buy one , I then see another one, in better condition, or with a box , or a longer barrel, or in nickel .

Third - congrats on your S&Ws .

;)

I actually bought a 4 inch 27-2 recently. Not 3 1/2, but 4. For whatever reason and no matter how common they might be......I haven't run across a 4 inch before. I've got a few 27-2 five inch (including a very nice nickel), and a pre-27 6 inch......but this is my only encounter with a 4 inch 27-2.

It's a real fun hobby. You will always find one better. I just buy the better one and keep the other one. :D

Pre-27 5-five screw (The .357 Magnum).

They don't make The 1953 .357 Magnum anymore, and I believe that it is much better than the more expensive Colt Python (some Python's are over-rated and some made 30 years later than the pre-27).

You should get a pre-27 (or Model 27, 27-1, 27-2) before the crowd catches on...

I LOVE the way you think.. :D:D :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Sal,

You should see the 5's, 6", 6 1/2" and 8 3/8" guns. Blue and Nickle, boxes, cases, etc....

I really need to get a better camera, a stage and some family photos of the whole crew together... :)
