RAM Repair Rant

They sound good, they do nothing to your premiums. lol
My USAA doesn't have any such clauses on your daily or weekend vehicle, sounds like you need some better insurance?

If you've been through the whole policy and that's the case, then color me surprised...and a little jealous.:)

Did you see this video,, it specifically discusses the frequent exhaust failure,,

(He discusses a bunch of vehicles that fail,, the RAM starts around 4:22)

WOW,, amazing the number of vehicles that have massive failures,,
one he discussed, the car was purchased for $30K,,
within a month, it needed a $45K engine (Mercedes,, IIRC)

I would hate to see anyone run into this type failure,,

I had a 2004 Nissan Titan I bought new and put over 260K miles on it and it was great truck with very few issues. The one problem it had was both exhaust manifolds cracked and both catalytic converters burned up causing the O2 emission light to come on. Nissan was going to charge me $2,600 to replace it all but I took it to a local mechanic shop and ask his cost. He said instead of replacing everything he could weld up the exhaust manifolds and cut the guts out of the catalytic converters. I said would that work, and he said he had done it to about 30 Titans and had not had one complaint. So I paid him $400 to do it and drove the truck another 5 years with no problems, then I sold it.

Yeah Steve, they will definately ding you for these high performance vehicles like the new Vettes, and super performance re-buids, etc., but for my little ol' stock Hemi? nah
I should actually switch to something like Edwards(?) because USAA also would't give me Jack for it either if someone totaled it out for me. At least with a collector ins. the intrinsic value would be covered. Premium prolly be the about the same because USAA ain't cheap.
