Looking for a reasonable range bag for 2 to 3 pistols and gear. I like the looks of uncle mikes side armor deluxe, price is right too. S & W has some nice ones, any recommendations?

I use a large, plastic tool box with a removable top tray. Plenty of room for a couple handguns, and a bunch of accessories - ammo, screwdriver set, stapler, targets, duct tape, cleaning kit, ear protection, ect. I tend to carry a lot of "gear" to the range.

I have the Osage River 18x13x10 and like it. I typically carry 4 pistols, ammo, targets, headsets, glasses, and a few tools. The side pockets have padded dividers and mag pouches. Build quality is good and zippers seem very sturdy.

The amazon logo is a link to the one I have. I am in no way associated with OR or Amazon.

Thanks, I did see that one on one of the review sites, it was listed as best overall pick.

I would get one with wheels and a handle. If you don't need it today you will tomorrow. I speak from expenice. Something like this one.

I normally use a common plastic tote with a lid. I can haul everything I need inside including handguns in rugs or small cases.

My favorite is the one I got from Smith & Wesson. It holds my Shield and .22 compact and five mags each plus their mag loaders.

I use a different range bag for my revolvers.

RANGE BAG

It used to be called their duck hunting bag, (1998 & going strong) now it's their outfitters bag??? A hard plastic tray like bottom/ multiple well designed/arranged pockets. Liked it so much I bought all 3 sizes. Medium for a range bag.

You folks are fancy!!

I use an assortment of duffel bags I’ve acquired over the years, nothing purpose built as a gun or range bag.

I’ve never found a need for anything specially marketed as a range bag.

Sometimes I only take 2 or 3 but other times I may take 6 or 7 handguns to the range and I will say its easier to carry two lighter bags than one really heavy bag. The fabric will also last longer if you don't put too much weight in it and I generally just get the fabric bags in the tool department at Lowes or Home depot and each handgun is in a pistol rug or wrapped in an old towel.

Thanks all, a lot to chew on here. Looks like I could easily deal with a less purpose driven bag, I do like the pistol rugs though

The one on the left is a Vanguard. It has plenty of room for anything and
everything I want to take to the range. It was a gift from a friend so I
don't know where he got it. I Googled and found they are available
from Optics Planet and others I'm sure.

The one on the right was a gift from NRA for re-upping a few years
ago. Makes a good photo background.
