Anyone know where I can get a nice range bag? I want something big enough but not too bulky to carry my M&P 9 with 3 mags, eyes & ear protection and a couple of boxes of ammo.

I use a Ridgid tool bag from Home Depot & have been for a few years. I put my pistol (up to 4) in a hard case. It has plenty of room for my plugs/muffs, extra mags, ammo, id badge, tools (allen wrenches, screw drivers, torx bits, etc.) Also has enough room for stapler & cleaning supplies id wanted. I believe I paid about $35 or so.

Works for me anyway.

MidwayUSA has their own brand of bags as well as several other name brands. Their Midway bags come in two sizes; they are well made and reasonably priced. Wait until they go on sale, which they seem to do quite regularly.

I bought a very well made tool bag many years ago and still use it. In addition to everything else, it will hold a lightweight adj. front rest and rear rest for rifle sight-ins. All the little inside pockets inside are great for tools, stapler, cleaning kits etc ....

It's great to have everything needed in one bag ---- I buy duplicates of some items so that I never need to "rob" my bag.

Another vote for Midway bags. I have the large and the small, and they are great. Far better than the competition for the price, and since they are designed for use as range bags they have a lot of features you want but won't get with a generic bag.

MidwayUSA Compact Competition Range Bag

Another vote for the Midway. I bought the big one and at first wished I had bought the smaller one but quickly changed my mind. Water bottles, small towel, tools, ears, etc. You will quickly fill it up and not everything is necessarily heavy, just bulky. Load it up with ammo and its a different story, that's when I swear I'm switching to just .22s.

Wait for MIDWAY bags to be ON SALE.

I have the large and smaller one, sounds like you're looking for the smaller one.

GREAT PRICE when on sale, and a Great Bag! :):):)

I use the LA Police Gear go bag that are sometimes on sale for as little as $14.99.It not huge but way large enough for 3 hand guns,300 rounds.8 mags,2 sets of eyes and ears and still have room for water, snacks, small first aid kit, cleaning kit and chems.
Heavy duty, well made, practially indestructible and does'nt scream "Range Bag" which is a plus driving with firearms in New Jersey. Our LEOs can get a bit overzealous.

Range Bag

Another vote for Midway! I shoot every Friday and it gets a lot of use. It holds 3 old 44s and plenty of ammo plus a pair of Ziess field glasses. And it was less than $40. Whats not to like.

I have an M&P 9mm and I use the Bulldog deluxe range bag . I only carry the one handgun to the range along with earmuffs, glasses, a couple boxes of ammo and a few tools with room to spare. I got mine at Cabela's for around $40. I like it!

Midway has a Great Bag with plenty of room for two or three handguns also excellent padding and room for headset and ammo.

My mistake Goggle Gun Mate and there is one on sale for $27. great bag. I think the site is Opticsplanet.com

Maybe it's just me, but I like to use a big gym bag rather than something that looks like a range bag.

It's nice having pistol mag pouches down the side and little things like that, though. If you haven't used a purpose built range bag you might not know what you are missing

Lots of good choices. Down and dirty, quick and easy is the hardware store tool bag.
That being said, I have a Bagmaster Pro and it's virtually indestructible.

My wife (Luscious) prefers the Bagmaster Suede. Expensive but nice - like Luscious!

BAGMASTER - Quality Bags, Cases and Holsters

I just got a Midway flyer and both of their range bags are on sale. The Competition Range Bag is $49.99, the Compact Competition Range Bag is $34.99.
