The Peach State! GA!!!
Took my wife to lunch yesterday. Then she drove me to the Dr. office. Not a happy time. Got some things to deal with. Insurance is... not much good for anything. Came home... bummed.

This morning... did office work, etc. After lunch... loaded up my 18-3 and a RIA 1911 w/ Marvel .22 conversion and headed for a range. Spent about three hours just slowly working through a brick of Fed. Champions. Shot a qualification run on the B-27. Shot it over and over. Never got a 250... but several 247's.

Got home and my wife was already home from work. She'd been wondering where I was. When she saw my range bag, she said she thought that was a good thing for me to do. She cooked pizza and we watched Gunsmoke. Ah yes... comfort food and old cowboy shows. Tonight... Cabelas briefly had Blazer .22's. We were able to order some to replace what I blew today. Cool.

Some days are like yesterday. Not fun. Some... are like today. Better. Tonight I've been working on the sermons I will preach this coming Sunday. A while ago I scrounged through my shooting boxes and found all the bits and pieces of .22 LR ammo. Maybe tomorrow morning there'll be time to go by the range and shoot a bit. That little Marvel .22 conversion is a wonder. It has had one single failure to feed in the last 1,500 rounds. And just as nice, it shoots scores on the B-27 that are sometimes the equal of the 18-3. Remarkable. Simply remarkable.

Love shooting great therapy. Gotta go soon and shoot my m28.
The 22's are a better idea no reloading.

22lr ammo is still harder to get than all 6 numbers in the lotto out here. I find reloading with my slow single stage press, gives me pause to reflect on just how good it felt to send troubles down range, and how much fun it will be the next time.

I shoot my 9c for lightweight issues, and the 500 mag for...

That would make a good week for some people. Blazer 40gr is one of my favorites. Haven't seen any locally in quite a spell.

I did not mean mentioning the brick of ammo to be antagonistic. There have been a lot of trips where I have fired what .38 Special I had loaded up and then fired maybe 50 or 100 rds. in my 18-3. Before this panic hit the 18-3 was my most used and most fired firearm. Back when things were normal I could drop by a local farm and shoot a hundred rounds or so several times a week while out making visits to church members. It was for me a lot of shooting. I got to where it seemed like I could hit anything with that little revolver. Then I got moved to a new pastoral field of service. The panic hit. My shooting when through the floor. Now... I'm trying to recover the skills that I had back about 2012.

I had a hard time finding shootable quantities of .22 LR ammo in 2013. Using links found on the 15-22 forum, I have since February of this year been able to find and buy more ammunition than I found in all of 2013.

Take a look at the 15-22 forum and see what is listed under the thread listing .22 LR ammo availability. It has been a big help to me. I very much appreciate those who have provided links by which one can find ammo available at far less than scalper prices!

i also find going to the range is a good relaxer, i take my time nobody to bother me just put s me in a good mood

I'm glad you got a chance to go shooting and now the weather is breaking I can get out again soon. I shoot my Model 17s often at the range and fortunately have a good supply of 22lr still. I recently found some Thunderbolts in stock at a local sporting goods store and bought the 4 box limit of 4/50 to replace some of which I've shot.
Shooting is good therapy and I try doing it as much as possible.
