RAPID Safe??

Anybody seen the ads for the Hornady RAPID Safe?? It pops open and presents your gun at the proper angle to grab it and fend off any threat.
They wax eloquent about it protects your gun from unauthorized access by a RFID bracelet that you wear that allows only you to open it and that your handgun is "always safe and ready to go 24/7", etc, etc.

Then there is the small print disclaimer "*IMPORTANT: Do not store loaded firearms in any safe. Follow local laws for firearm storage."

I guess you are supposed to either scare off the threat or beat it to death with an empty gun....

That might be a "loaded" (excuse the pun) statement. They could mean okay for the magazine in place, but not a loaded and locked.
Or it could just be a CYA litigation thing.

Might be cheaper to beat them with the safe. My gun is worth more than that....
