I recently picked up a HFT that is in bad shape. Bore is corroded and cold blue over pitting. I have disassembled the gun for parts but the tiny rear sight screw that hold it to the frame is giving me fits. I've been soaking it in Kroil but my problem is that little screw is going to require some torque that my small drivers just cannot provide. Any thoughts on how to get it off would be appreciated.

drill press

Could you possibly set up the receiver in a drill press and put a bit in the chuck, lower the chuck with screwdriver bit and press down and rotate the drill chuck by hand with downward pressure on the chuck and bit?

That is an interesting idea. I'll see if I can rig my short vice in the base of my old press.

Seems the screw is harder steel than the bits I have. Does anyone make driver bits that small that can hold up to the torque? My tremors don't help doing this either.
