Reasonable Doubt: NOT GUILTY

Welcome to my state of confusion...

I mean Florida. I am not surprised.

I wonder what she gets for the first interview?

I'd say bidding starts at a million.

Then the book and movie deals.

Yipes - maybe housewives will riot and start turning over cars.

That case was a very tough one for the Prosecutors to win. They had no Cause of Death and, without it, it would be very tough to show that the death was caused by the act of the defendant.

I don't think the case was a walk in the park for the defense, either. They had a very unappealing client with a history of lying and lying and....

I am sure that many will second guess the prosecutors in the case, but I give them credit for trying the case. In other states, though not so much in Florida from my experience, prosecutors are sometimes hesitant to take on cases that they might lose.

I'm not surprised that she walked on the murder one charge, but I'm surprised that there was not a finding of guilty on one of the child abuse charges or manslaughter.

That's why they call it Floriduuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh.

I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE A RUDE REMARK HERE...

But...

After this a few years ago, I just can't say much anymore:

We really are a melting pot for people moving here though. I'm not even from here. Maybe that is part of the problem. We are just getting too much of an influx of other refuse and starting to clog... My goodness I'm whipping myself good today.

There is no JUSTICE anymore. That's why I go armed, in case I have to dispense my own.

Lies upon lies upon more lies don't mean guilty, I guess. But dang it she still deserves a beating.

That is simply a disgrace, and the members of the jury should be ashamed.

Do they think the little one crawled into the swamp herself and put duct tape on her own face? I shall refrain from further comment...maybe.

Be safe.

I will stand behind the jury 100%. They had a job to do and they did it to the best of their ability. If we believe in the constitution we have to stand behind the jury's decision and move on. Don

Fact this is Disney World where nothing bad happens. The jury nullified themselves, looking for individual payoffs down the road, as a result of a shocking verdict. Everybody wants that 15 minutes of fame and are willing to do anything to get it. I got nothing else to say except that Kaylee is in a better place, nobody on this planet looking out for her at all. Yes, I totally agree. Although she probably did do it, the prosecution was never able to connect her to the deed. Instead they tried to say that no other story made sense. The jury was right no matter how much you might disagree with them.

Being a liar and a sorry excuse for a mother does not mean she is guilty of murder.

Just saying; I was not on the jury to hear all of the facts of the case.

dear s&w forum someday casey anthony will have to stand before god and explain to him how she lived her life on earth and then god will judge her and punish as he sees fit. sincerely and respectfully mg357 a proud member of the s&w forum.

Don't know the story , didn't follow the trial , wasn't on the jury.

BUT!

Why does this case deserve national attention?

Drug addicts in the ghettos kill their kids and toss them in dumpsters every week , who cares?

Trial by public opinion or media?
Lawyers hiring public image consultants?
Playing for the camera?
Juries know a controversial verdict leads to book deals?

This chick was found not guilty of the murder charges. So that's it. Time for the media to find the next murdered kid to exploit so they can maintain the high ratings this case generated. And BTW. O.J. Simpson didn't murder anyone. Legally, he was convicted of violating two people's civil rights by butchering them to death with a big knife.
And Nancy Grace is in Florida right now cursing and dismantling the gallows she built in front of the courthouse.

So, Thursday she'll probably walk free. Will she expect to move back in with her parents and pretend nothing happened? She got away with murder. Caylee was nothing but trash. DAMN.

I hope the jury members will be left alone. They made a difficult decision and it must be respected, otherwise we end up with mob rule. If anyone has an idea for a better legal system please let us know.

Excellent response, I also did not follow this case or listen to the evidence so I don't know if she was guilty or innocent. The media seems all worked up because they verdict of the jury did not conform to the one they had rendered already. I suppose that is why we have jury trials, so our peers can listen to the evidence and make a judgement based upon that evidence rather than having popular opinion whipped to frenzy by sensational media reports render verdicts.

Indeed, as we all will.

For the concept of justice to exist for this little girl, there has to be an afterlife and a just God. Otherwise even we would never want it to be possible.

BTW, did she EVER have a father?
