Very nice. How difficult was it to do? I'm not much of a painter, and get runs in anytime I try and use a spray can, do you think this is something I could do?

Rescue

Well this is the second gun that I do with cerakote, the kit I got comes with the spray gun, I not much of a painter, however cerakote is very forgiving, it is easy to cover, and all it takes is just one coat, however painting is actually the easy part, sand blasting and preparing the part takes a lot of time, also if you get a run on the paint or by any chance you touch the part before baking it, it is ruined, you have to start the process all over again, I suggest anyone that is interested follow the tutorials on the cerakote site, and yes the cerakote that I use is the oven baked one. I ope this helps.

FWIW last month I picked up a lnib 10-7 2inch round butt for $400.

I really like the idea of finding a solid, tight but cosmetically poor handgun (especially a good quality S&W) and turning a non-collectable piece into a very useable shooter.

Did that with the S&W 10 you see here. The little girl locked up solid, bore was excellent, finish was, to be charitable, lousy (with some light pitting to boot!).

Now she’s a real Queen!
