Recipe for Homemade Coffee liquor

The holidays are just around the corner.

I was wondering if anyone has a favorite recipe for homemade coffee liquor using vodka or Everclear (grain alcohol).

I've never made it, but thought I'd give it a try.

Here's a recipe from a forum I frequent. I havn't tried it, but it looks good.

My wife got this from my mother so you know it should be good.

Kahlua

2 oz instant coffee (dry).

3 and a half cups sugar.

Add two cups boiling water, stir and cool.

Add one pint bourbon or brandy.

Split vanilla bean in two lengthwise put each half in a fifth bottle

Add liquid.

Cap and let stand for 30 days.

I have a recipe but it's a bit confuseing.

Easier to pick up a bottle of Kahlua for the holidays, good stuff to boot.

16oz cup of coffee half and half to taste and 1 & 1/2 shots of Glenlivet.
