Recommendation for new pair of boots?

Hi.
Looking for recommendations for a new pair of boots, and where to buy. Looking for:

MADE IN THE USA
lace-up, side zipper
prefer not insulated
lighter is better

At least some of the Ariat boots are made in USA, Whites are pricey but excellent quality & made here.

I think Red Wing is US made, but I'd go for 511 regardless of origin.

Any particular kind of boot you're looking for? "Boots" covers a lot of ground (pun intended...).

Do you have a budget in mind? What's the intended use (work, hiking, public service, fast-roping out of a Blackhawk, etc.)?

Normally, I'd recommend Danner, which are mostly made in the US, but I believe the boots they offer with side-zips are made overseas. I've used Danner Striker series boots as everyday footwear for several years and they were great. Comfortable and fit my feet better than most shoes I've tried. But they're not made in the US.

I've also used Matterhorn and Rocky boots and they served me pretty well, but I can't say offhand if they're made in the US or offer side-zip options.

Thanks for the replies. Probably wearing them to the range, a little hiking, and some riding the motorcycle.
Looking for probably 6-8" high. Probably in the neighborhood of $200.

Been doing the same exercise looking at buying boots myself,been wearing Justin lace up work boots and have had very good service. 8 inch all leather right price range.Believe they are made in America, I think the style number is 760. I am on my feet a lot of hours a day and they are comfortable and offer good support. Boot Barn and Academy carry them here in Houston.

I like the quality of Frye boots. They are hand made top of the line leather and still made in the USA.

The old Danners. I have a pair "made in the USA" that have been re-soled twice in over 30 years. I take good care of them, keeping the uppers well soaped and waterproofed, and with good laces. Even some Danners of late are made in China, but their premium models are still made in USA--like Red Wing, an other great American made boot.

I'm leaning towards Danner. I emailed them to see if they make a side zip boot in the US, but I can't find one.
If not, I did see that they make lace-in zippers for a couple of their 6" and a couple of the 8" boots. I may give that a try.

I have been searching for zipper boots too, I had some ankle surgery in February. It is difficult to say the least finding made in America, zipper boots. Wish you the best!

I've bought durable and well fitting American made boots at the military surplus stores. The real authentic surplus stores not the Chinese ones. They have a lot of boots from many different manufactures and you can try them on and see if they fit. I'm trying to wear out a pair of flight deck boots now and I'm on my 3rd year. Works for me.

I have three pair of Danners made in Vietnam, I know a little ironic, they are actually very well made and extremely comfortable and better still, not made in China. You do have to look closely at where stuff is made these days. Sometimes very hard to find what you want that is made in the US

Check out Bates shoes and boots, I bought a pair that lace up and have a side zipper. I bought mind through the V.A. Canteen. If your a vet check the military exchange.

Years ago I bought a pair of Kangaroo Hunting Boots from LL Bean - still use them too. They are lighter weight than Cowhide, tough as hell, last forever, quite comfortable, are available in both insulated and non insulated versions. At the time they were made in the USA (AFAIK). They still sell them but not sure if they are still made in USA - but you can ask them.
