Recommendations for 22 rifles?

I guess some of us have a different perception of what plinking is . For me my first firearm a '61 colt 6" huntsman shooting 12ga hulls on sticks at 15 yards is plinking .and hopeing I can still hit 8 out out of 10 . Use to be shot at 25 yards before trifocal glass were needed . For a rifle its a page for 50 - 1/4" squares to shoot at with a savage bv at 50 yards .

The lever throw is very short, which makes it very easy to operate the lever with minimal change in grip. But it comes at the expense of some smoothness.

The Winchester 9422 is hard to beat for silky smoothness, at least in the earlier pre USRAC rifles.

The Marlin 39 has the longest stroke, but it is also very smooth, and the Marlin 39 and 39A rifles will generally shoot with a bolt action accuracy wise.

I have my Dad's 39A that was the first gun I ever shot. He bought it new in the early 1950's. It is pre Golden. Looks like the bottom picture. Will definitely shoot with any bolt gun I ever shot.

Not really plinking, but from a rest. This is a five shot group that I shot the beginning of Dec. The overall group is 0.275", this makes the center-to-center hits 0.053". Done with iron sights.
