Apparently, Midway is canceling outstanding orders, mine included. Can we make a list of suppliers that may be more responsive to our needs? Please any recommendations? Thanks.

[Reloading suppliers] Thanks. !!!!!!

I don't know what sort of "supplies" you are talking about but for Lee reloading equipment, I've found Titan is excellent.

I like MidSouth as a reliable vendor.

Brownell's is very good too, especially customer service. They shipped me several boxes of bullets, one opened up and a number of bullets worked their way out of the shipment. No issues, they sent a replacement box of bullets.

Seconding jepp2, below, on Powder Valley. Good prices and delivery.

Grafs is good to deal with, and won't rake you over the coals when it comes to shipping.

NatchezShootersSupply, generally has a decent selection, but I don't find their shipping very competitive.

Wideners and Powder Valley, and the others already mentioned. Since you didn't list specifically what all you want, it depends.

I'll "second" Grafs and Midsouth Shooters Supply. I've tried to order from Natchez but for some reason they won't ship to Georgia.

Cheaper Than Dirt will not get my recommendation, and I would discourage any fellow shooter from purchasing from that vendor. Been a year since they showed their true colors. I will not go into details on this forum in respect for the rules, a simple Google search will enlighten those interested as to events that occured at CTD.

Cheaper than dirt is something most shooters have been boycotting for over a year now. They started gouging less than 24 hours after Sandy Hook. Their mags instantly went from $14 or so to $60 to $100

I suggest that the answer is "No, we can't". Reloading supplies, just like ammo and guns, are constantly IN and OUT of stock at every supplier, daily, hourly. There simply is no one place that always has what you need.

GunBot. GunBot. GunBot. Did I mention GunBot? That will point you toward consumables. For non-consumable items, Google, Amazon, search-search-search. What's available this morning changes by noon.

Graf and Sons has done me well since 88. You cannot ship what you don't have in stock and, IMO, you are foolish to take advance orders for over 30 days in the current reloading recession.

Agreed 100 %

Midsouth, is always good. Natchez, watch for their sales. Cheaper than Dirt, is an oxymoron their prices are always high. Midway USA, is no bargain, but most of the time items are in stock. Powder Valley, was always good especially when they had powder.

Cabelas hasn't been mentioned yet, and yes while their prices are higher on almost everything you have to factor in the other incentives. If you make everyday purchases with a credit card to pay off every month. Then their Cabelas card point system can save you a bunch. They send you flyers from time to time with discounts, usually like MidwayUSA they have $10 off $100, $20 off $200, etc. but they occasionally send a $10 off $50 or $10 off $75. I get emails occasionally with promotion codes for free shipping. Since I have a Cabelas that is about an hour away from me their free shipping with Site-to-Store comes in handy too. Last time I was in their I picked up a brick of Remington Large Pistol Primers $33.99, and a box of Hornady 30 cal 168gr. Match bullets for $25.59, and paid for them with points. The prices weren't outrageous, and ultimately they cost me nothing.

I look at Gunbot a few times a day (never know when something will pop up) but one company I never see listed is Recob's supply. They almost always have primers of some brand and occasionally they have powder that's in demand (not black powder or 50BMG:eek:) Browsing WINCHESTER

Graf & Sons
Gamaliel Shooting Supply
Palmetto State Armory

These are some guys I've had good luck with. I've had no gripes with Midway, but I don't backorder anything. Don't expect any other company to have a full stock either.

Sometimes going direct to the vendor is good too. I know a lot of people have been very happy ordering supplies direct from MTM Case Gard, and have heard of people having luck buying Starline Brass, same goes for Berry's Mfg.

There are applicable laws that may REQUIRE cancellation of certain backorders that cannot be fulfilled in a timely manner.

Search for FTC Rule 435 and its impact on backorders.
