Seeking recommendations for a 1911 Officer 3.5" model; prefer thumb break, reasonable price, inside/outside waistband acceptable. Looking through holsters online and all seem to have some negative reviews. Regards, Ed

I have a Lobo for my RIA Compact's, 3 1/2" Officers size 45 and 9mm. It is a great, perfect fit. It does not have a thumb break or any strap. The fit is such it is secure. Lobogunleather should take you to their site. It's in the background in this picture, notice the pronounced custom fit.

I can second Lobogunleather...I have three of them. I also frequently use a Kramer #2 IWB for my Colt Officer's model 1911....you simply cannot go wrong with either of these.

I just got a Galco Tuck-N-Go for my Citadel 3.5 CS. It's decent. There's no thumb break, but I really don't see the need for one in a tuckable IWB.

I've only worn it one day, but it seems decent so far, at least while I continue to work on the one I'm making myself.

I use a Galco JAK for my Springfield Micro, I like them so well that I also use the JAK for the Sig 239 and CZ2075. The JAK pulls up very close to your body.

I use a Lobo Enhanced Avenger with mouth reinforcement... mine is an original but the new owner can make this unit with the thumb reak. My Commander fits very well and the holster holds it very securely.

I only use Milt Sparks Summer Special for my 1911s, they are top notch. Long wait time for Milts though.

For revolver carry, I really like Lobo. My favorite is an IWB with inner and outer hammer shield, and they have a quick turn around time.

I've carried a Kimber UC II for some years, My favorite is a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster w/ 2 mags on the off side. #2 is another Galco Leather hip style w/o strap. This is so worn I can't read the mod #. Another Galco NOT recommended the Small Of Back these are dangerious if you fall. You will loose!. There is also a Fobus plastic clip on that is not bad for easy on and off.

I have a Custom Made Holster for a Springfield Commander 4" made by one of the Brothers of this form, Snubbyfan. He does amazing work!

well i love Galco Holsters and have found that the CCP and the FED are excellent...i use the CCP on my Officers ACP and it is the nicest one i have found...they are both paddle designs and make it so easy to take off and on and so comfortable too...

The Officer's Model with its heavy butt and the short snout wants to twist away from the body with some belt and holster combinations. For me, a horizontal shoulder rig proved more comfortable. An inside the waistband rig might suit those who like them. To me, it seems easier to find a satisfactory outside the waistband holster for the Commander.

It is interesting to see
what everyone else has had to say.
