I have this red/green dot from utg
Leapers New Gen 4in Red/Green Dot Sight w/ Integral Picatinny Mounting Deck FREE S&H SCP-RD40RGW-A. Leapers UTG Rifle Scopes, Leapers Rifle Scopes.
Had to use a .50 riser for absolute co witness.

Welcome to the forum, we just refer to it as " 15-22 or M&P 15-22.. not M&P AR 15 22cal...
with that cleared up... i have had really good luck with this one.

Put a vortex on mine and it works great.

I had a cheap red-dot and was very disappointed. I switched to a .83 riser and a Bushnell trs-25 and LOVE it.

Thanks. I've been reading a lot of bad things regarding QC on the newer TRS-25, so I think I might try this one.

for steel, i use the same sight that is on my MKII, a C-More Railway. completely heads up, really open, unlike the Aimpoints and EOtechs on my other rifles. that rifle is dedicated as is that MKII so i'm used to them.
not too expensive, you can find deals online, very good optic. Arredondo sells accessories for it like easier knobs to turn on and intensity up, i just used some smaller sized guitar volume knobs in black that i happened to have and they fit perfect.
if you want cheaper with quality then the Vortex Bright Red Dot. IMHO
