Am I the only one that goes nuts when I see M&P AR 15-22?

Slickguns.com

Keep an eye on red dots from there for good deals on generally anything!

Just ordered this one from Amazon... Sightmark Ultra Dual Shot Pro Spec NV Sight QD. Basically the same thing. Hopefully I will have the same good luck you have had! :D

I'm going to try this one as well. I just wish you could compare models on their site.

for steel, i use the same sight that is on my MKII, a C-More Railway. completely heads up, really open, unlike the Aimpoints and EOtechs on my other rifles. that rifle is dedicated as is that MKII so i'm used to them.
not too expensive, you can find deals online, very good optic. Arredondo sells accessories for it like easier knobs to turn on and intensity up, i just used some smaller sized guitar volume knobs in black that i happened to have and they fit perfect.

if you want cheaper with quality then the Vortex Bright Red Dot. IMHO

Another fan of the trs-25 with the .83 riser. It rarely has any bad reviews and works great for my indoor range plinking

Welcome from Texas edensnuthouse. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Another one for the Bushnell TRS-25. Midway has them in stock free shipping for like $85.00. Or walmart has them for $108.00 out the door. The best thing about these are the battery life. There's some guy who claims to have had his on for months now and the battery is still good. I've got one on my Troy Ar-15 and just put one on my 15-22 tonight. You can get the UTG Riser mounts off amazon for about $6.00.

Edensnuthouse, I too shoot a lot of Steel Challenge and tactical matches and found that I perfer this sort of dot sight.
TruGlo Open Red-Dot Sight Red/Green Illuminated Multi-Reticle Matte Black TG8360B FREE S&H TG8360B. TruGlo Red Dot Sights.
Our style of competition requires us to be able to see a large field of view because we need to see our next target while we are still shooting at the first one. The tube style of scope for range shooting is ok, but looking thru a tube will make you concentrate on that one target, then your going to have to look for the next one again thru the tube.
When you look thru this one, you dont even notice the black ring holding the glass. All you see are multiple targets with a dot.
I like the green dot in bright sunlight because the red sometimes gets washed out. When I had just the red, when the timer started, sometimes I had to search for the red. The green just pops out at you! When speed is king, time is money.
Hope this helps.

Hopefully the Sightmark I ordered (Ultra Dual Shot Pro Spec NV Sight QD) will work like your TruGlo. It will have to do until I can afford an EoTech.

(Ordered a new Kimber Rimfire Target the other day, it should arrive soon. My checkbook needs a rest!)

I just used the TruGlow as an example. There are many company's selling the same sight under different names. They are all made in China. Do an search for red dots, I bought my latest one off Amazon, cost me , I think $28 and that included shipping.

"some guy" is me. My TRS25 has been on level 4 since last August with no loss of brightness. I wish that all of my devices had such excellent battery longevity!

My T1 has been on for 1 1/2 years now...costs a bit more than the TRS-25 tho:rolleyes:

I just put a new TRS-25 from Primary Arms with the free UTG absolute co witness quick detach risor on my new 15-22. Still the same crisp dot as my older ones.

Have a real nice Nikon red dot with variable brightness and variable MOA. Replaced it with a Nikon P-22 scope for shooting 50 yds. Old eyes and it's nice to see the target at 50 yds. The red is great but I don't have a spotting scope so i could see how I was shooting. If you are shooting steel it's the greatest thing for quick acquisition. I'm shooting tennis and golf balls at 50 yds and the red dot isn't quite good enough for those targets.

Lol... bought this scope for my 15-22 on Amazon for $37 and absolutely love the thing. Well-built, red/green dot have brightness controls and it's pretty easy to adjust the MOA. To quote my son after I got it dead on zeroed at 50 yards- "Dad, it takes the challenge out of it... it's like a video game now."
