Vortex red dots are made in the Philippines and China. Most of their scopes are made in the Philippines, Japan and China. The only Vortex scopes made in the US is the Razor AMG line.

Self deception
I have upset more than one Harley owner over bringing up the fact that a local electronics mfg who for years made a substantial portion of multiple ignition system models for Harley, sourced nearly every component of that assembly from China, assembled it here, and shipped it to Harley to use in their all American bikes. Some of the sub assemblies on some of those assemblies came here completely assembled from China before being included as part of the "American Made" completed assembly. That is just one of many examples in every Harley.
I think most people would be shocked at how prevalent that is in anything and everything we own that plugs into the wall or uses a battery. My US made refrigerator I just had delivered, my US made pickup truck (common knowledge to most), even my Oregon made red dot sight.
Some manufacturers have made a veiled attempt to prevent litigation by changing their "Made in the US" labeling, to "Product of the US" or similar.
Even with that I would still rather support a US "BASED" company, even if all they do is assemble here, than a wholly off shore company.
I am sure there are many exceptions and many products that are completely sourced here, but any of us who see either of the above labelling on a product and convince themselves that buying that product over something else is completely shutting out any NON US based company support is, in most cases, just practicing self deception.... which is a good portion of how we got here.

If you can drop the strictly made in USA requirement, get the AimPoint PRO. Its probably the best value in a red dot sight on the market today. You can find them on the secondary market right at 300 usually. They're tanks.

I still remember when AMF finally sold Harley Davidson back to Willie G. in 1981. Geez, I still have my early Harley Davidson/AMF leather jacket from that earlier time frame! It is now MUCH SMALLER than I am, some 40yr later...

Ask Leupold where all their "infrastructure" and assorted materials are sourced from. When you "buy American", you are only fooling yourself.
Not to say it's not an excellent thought and idea. It's just in most cases, it doesn't exist.
