Good Afternoon,

I'd be interested to read anyone's thoughts about the best red dot optics for the 10 mm.

Thanks in advance!

First, get a metal mounting plate from CHPWS.com and skip the plastic ones that come with the M&P.

It's out of stock, watch it like a hawk

S&W M2.0™ C.O.R.E. to Trijicon RMR / SRO / Holosun 407C / 507C / 508C / 508T - C&H Precision Weapons

I'd recommend either the Trijicon RMR or a Holosun

I prefer the Trijicon RMR for durability and for manufacturing location

I prefer Holosun for reticle style and for price.

I'd go with Holosun, probably the 508T, just because I want the ability to run a circle around a dot instead of just the dot. In the reticle you can select a 2 MOA dot, a 2 MOA dot inside a 32 MOA circle, or just the 32 MOA circle. I'd run the dot in the circle because in a defensive situation, it will be much easier to find quickly than just a dot.

If I picked the Trijicon RMR I'd get one with the 3.25 MOA dot.

I took a hard look at the M&P 2.0 10mm myself, I'm still on the fence.

How do you like it so far?

Thanks for the great information!

I wouldn't have necessarily thought of either of those red dots.

As for the 10 mm, truth be told, I don't have it yet! I just bought it yesterday so it's still en route. However, I love the caliber and have about a half dozen other 10 mms, including a S&W 1006, which is terrific.

I basically wanted to decide on a red dot before the gun gets here so I could get that whole process started.

I put a Burris Fastfire 3, 3moa, on a Ruger SR1911 with a Burris, made for a Kimber, mount plate. I like it better than open sights, but I only shoot it to 25 yards. My other 10 is a 1006, old police gun marked BPD91-0065. Leaving that one alone. Both guns like the Nosler 150 with 10 grains of AA#7, and the Underwood extreme penetrators are just wicked! Have fun shooting your new pistol!
