Refinish Tyler T grips

Asking anyone's opinion or help here. Has anyone refinished a Tyler T grip? If so how did you do it? I have a couple of Tyler T flat black and want to have glossy finish to match my blue guns better. Thank you in advance.

The older T-grips can be easily stripped and repainted but I believe the manufacturer switched to powder coating them at some point and the newer ones are difficult to strip. With the newer ones, I scuff the finish with an abrasive pad and repaint them. The scuffing provides the new paint something to adhere to.
