Regulation Police 4" date help?

I came across a S&W Regulation Police 4" .38 S&W that I'd consider decent shooter grade. It has the original diamond stocks, lots of scratches like it was thrown in a tool box, but was very mechanically sound. It needs a good cleaning. It also came with 100 rounds of ammo. The serial number is 2025n. Can someone give me an approximate date this was made? I did some searching here but couldn't find any posts where anyone else had a close serial number. This is my first .38 S&W caliber revolver. The OTD price was $390.

We need to see the gun...primarily the grips and stamps...to tell you much more. It was likely shipped in 1920.

I had one s/n 2786x, which shipped from S&W Dec 1925. Close as I could get.

The small trademark stamp on the left frame and the style of grips are from the 1920's decade.
