Reloading the 22 Hornet

My two CZs were actually Brno, before the dissolution of the Soviet Union. They both shot pretty well, and at the time, were "exotic". I have a CZ 527 in .223, and it's accurate, too. Been a long time since I shot it.

My Ruger Model 7722H with a heavy barrel and an all-weather finish is extremely accurate. And I have a new Savage with the Accutrigger and a laminated stock. Quite accurate as well.

My old model 42 will not shoot anything heavier than 45 grains. Happened on the 30 grain varment grenade ahead of 12 grains of WW-296 with a small rifle primer. Tightest shooting load I have ever found for my hornet.

My varminting partner uses a Cooper .22 hornet loaded with 13 gr. of Lil Gun and a 40 gr. V-Max with stunning accuracy and the same results downrange....perhaps it will work for others as well.

There may be a reason to use 55 gr bullets in a 22h, but none comes to mind.
My several hornets are loaded with Lil Gun and 40 grain bullets. And I have better accuracy with pistol primers.
