So, I have been thinking of getting a 300 blackout upper and am wondering about reloading for it. Any thoughts on that? I'm trying to get as much info on this round before I make the leap and buy an upper.

I gave all my "bad" 223 brass to a friend. These had crushed necks or bad shoulders. He was happy as a clam to get the to play with.

He made up a jig in his chop-saw to cut all the cases and then deburr/chamfers them and finally trims them. I don't think he anneals the "cheap" stuff, but, I think factory ammo is annealed.

He is shooting alot of loads with 125gr (?) bullets instead of 147gr and getting decent results.

Non-loading friend putting one together and I'll be loading them for him so I'm interested. Looks like fun, have another friend who loaded a lot of whisper subs. Still pretty new.

OK, taking the dive, just ordered dies and the newest Nosler book. The Nosler #7 is supposed to have reloading info for the 300 blackout in it. Does anyone know if any other books cover it. I like to have at least two sources to go by.

Try the Hodgdon website and their 2012 magazine/loading guide.

Good shooting.

There's a whole article on p.18 of the 2012 Annual Manual, not in the data section. Go to their website as well.

The NOSLER #7 lists four powders- 4227,110,296 and Lil Gun.

Yes,I know what you mean I'm thinking about building one myself. But I am a little concerned about the accuracy ratings.I'll probably be looking for parts at the Richmond show this weekend.
